Career Planning and Work Experience
The attached programmes of work are for the Year 10 and 11 in KS4 Modular Groups who will leave Manor  Green College at the end of Year 11.

For the Generic Groups the College delivers a programme called 'Career Track Special' which aims to prepare students with special needs for their continued participation in learning and their progress into adult life, work experience or other meaningful activity.

Parents and carers are given details of the KS4 Careers Accreditation and Career Programmes at the College during Parent Conversations when their child starts KS4.  The Career Programmes can be accessed via the Princes Trust website (www.princes-trust.org.uk).

Work Related Learning is part of the Curriculum under the title 'Preparation for Life after Manor Green College'.  The programme starts at the beginning of KS4 when students move into their Year 10 groups and start their accredited courses.

Work Experience
In year 11 students are offered two 1 x week placements out in the community.  Successful placements have included:
Debenhams
Marks & Spencers
Robert Dyas
Halfords
WH Smith
Holmbush Farm
Tilgate Nature Reserve

We have had several students who have been offered paid employment following successful work experience placements.

Assessment
Assessing the impact of the career programmes on students is measured as a pass by the Princes Trust.  The Generic classes' progress is measured as part of the College's internal assessment process.
